What is a fascinator?

A fascinator is a stylish and contemporary alternative to a hat. When you wear a fascinator there's no need to worry about hat hair as fascinators are attached to your hair via a slide comb or an alice band. Fascinators are usually made of lightweight materials such as sinamay or organza and are decorated with feathers or beads. Fascinators were very popular at the beginning of the 20th century and were often worn by flapper girls of the 1920s and by any well dressed lady at a cocktail party. Today, fascinators are the hair accessory to be seen in at any wedding and at the races such as Ascot or the Derby, and of course at any formal occasion such as a christening or just for your Sunday best!
